The SolarEdge Power Optimizer is a DC / DC converter and can be connected to any solar panel, allowing it turn into smart modules. The SolarEdge Power Optimizers increase the solar energy output of PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each panel individually. In addition, the Power Optimizers monitor the performance of a solar panel and communicate that data to the SolarEdge monitoring platform. Each Power Optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC technology, designed to automatically reduce the DC voltage of the panels to a safe level when the inverter or grid is turned off.
